WARREN, Ohio - Police in Warren are investigating after a suspect had allegedly intentionally set a tree on fire in a victim's yard.

According to a police report, the incident happened on the 400 Block of Third Street SW just after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 4.

The homeowner told police he was sitting in his living room when he saw vehicle lights outside his house. Police say the man opened the blinds on his window and saw a tree in his yard on fire followed by the vehicle driving away.

Police do have a suspect in mind, but no arrests have been made and the suspect's name is not being released.

The homeowner told police he is friends with the suspect's boyfriend for more than 20 years and the suspect was upset when she saw her boyfriend leaving the home days prior to the incident.
