WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Waterbury police say no life-threatening injuries were suffered when two motorcycles collided with a pickup truck on South Main Street Thursday evening.

The crash happened in the area of Platts Mill Road around 6:21 p.m. The pickup truck initially fled the scene, but officers located it a short time later.

Police said one of the motorcycles had a solo rider who was not injured. The other motorcycle had two adult riders- a male driver and female passenger.

Both were transported to hospitals, the male with serious injuries and the female with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, police said.

The Waterbury Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit it investigating.
