It’s safe to say Mac Jones prefers a Kyle Shanahan-led offense over one run by Matt Patricia.

The former New England Patriots quarterback now is adjusting to life as a backup with the 49ers. Earlier this week, Jones opened up on what he likes about San Francisco’s famously QB-friendly offense.

“I think they do a great job explaining what the expectation of each play is and why they’re doing a certain play,” Jones said, via SI.com’s Grant Cohn. “And there’s nothing left up to doubt, if that makes sense. And everything’s based on timing and rhythm and also playing off structure.
