HAMPTON, N.H. —

A special delivery of 200 tons of sand has been made in preparation for next week's Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Classic.

The flat sand makes it easier to compact and build with.

Sculptors from around the world will start shaping their creations next Thursday.

One woman who has volunteered at the event for years says watching that process is her favorite part.

“I want to see what they're going to create. They're so, they won't tell you. They're very secretive,” volunteer Marilyn Macintosh said. “So you try to guess each day when they blow the horn. You go and you go, ‘What are they doing?’ And the tourists will say, ‘Why are they putting a pin at the top?’ And I go, ‘Well, seag
