1. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center–McKinney
The 192-bed hospital, which opened in July 2012, was awarded a Level III designation for its maternal care, said Matthew Olivolo, Baylor Scott & White’s manager of North Texas media relations. The Maternal Center Level III designation indicates that the hospital meets various requirements for its maternal care, including the ability to care for pregnant and postpartum patients with conditions that present a risk of maternal morbidity as well as the ability to perform major surgery on-site, according to the Texas Administrative Code .
