PROVO — BYU basketball has Kevin Young locked in as head coach.

It was announced on Thursday night that Young has signed a long-term contract extension, which the school states will “keep Young in Provo for the foreseeable future.”

BYU did not announce the length of Young’s contract extension. When he was hired by BYU last season, he reportedly signed a seven-year contract agreement.

After one season on the bench at BYU, Young took Cougar basketball to new heights, guiding them to their first Sweet 16 appearance in 14 years.
