A brand of crackers is recalling one of its products sold at retailers in 11 states, including Massachusetts, after it was found to contain an allergen not listed on its packaging.

Firehook brand “Classic Sea Salt Organic Crackers” from Firehook of Virginia may contain sesame without consumers being aware of its presence, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sesame run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” the FDA warned.

The artisan-baked crackers were sold in 8-ounce clear packaging with a best-by date of Sept. 29, 2025 with a UPC code of 8 99055 00063 5.
