CANFIELD, Ohio - An investigator is looking for the cause of a fire that heavily damaged what could be described as a "party house" behind a home along Route 62 in Canfield.

Crews from several fire departments were dispatched after a caller reported seeing black smoke coming from a structure on property along the 4100 block of Youngstown-Salem Road just after 8 a.m. Friday.

The first firefighter to arrive said flames had spread throughout the structure that housed a full bar. Firefighters worked to keep them from spreading.

Neighbors reported hearing a loud "crack" during a storm before the fire, which led investigators to say that lightning could have been the cause.

Route 62 was closed between Bentwillow Drive and Messerly Road west of Cornersburg.

No one was injured.
