Michigan's Free ORV Weekend allows residents and non-residents to operate ORVs without a license or trail permit on June 7-8 and August 16-17.

Free Fishing Weekend coincides with Free ORV Weekend.

Those under 16 must complete an ORV safety course.

Grab your ATVs or dirt bikes and enjoy Free Off Road Vehicles (ORV) Weekend — a great time to experience Michigan's off-road vehicle trails, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources says.

This weekend, residents and out-of-state visitors can use trails on back-to-back days without an ORV license or trail permit. The DNR, however, reminds riders that other ORV rules still apply and you must supply your own ORV.

The state's recreation passport will not be required for entry into state parks and boating access sites during Free ORV
