CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The WCNC Charlotte Weather Impact Team is issuing a Weather Alert for Saturday due to the risk of strong storms that could impact major outdoor events across the Carolinas.

Multiple waves of storms will move across the Southeast this weekend. With plenty of storm fuel due to high temperatures near 90 degrees, the severe weather risk is trending upward. With numerous events happening this weekend, including Taste of Charlotte and the Savannah Bananas at Bank of America Stadium, the Weather Impact Team urges everyone to have a plan in case severe weather hits.
