Authorities ID body found beneath 15th Street Bridge

The Richmond County Coroner's Office has identified a body found last month in a shallow grave beneath the 15th Street Bridge at Riverwatch Parkway.

The body of Cindy E. Reese, a 59-year-old homeless woman, was discovered on May 20, noted authorities.

Though a positive ID has been made on Reese, an autopsy is still pending, noted Coroner Mark Bowen. The remains were taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for autopsy.

Authorities said they initially learned about the body from a tip given to the sheriff's Homeless Operations Team.
