GRAND ARMY PLAZA — It was a Herculean undertaking that required two years of labor and $8.9 million in mayoral funding, but it has finally come to fruition.

The city’s Department of Parks and Recreation and the Prospect Park Alliance, the non-profit organization that operates Prospect Park in partnership with the city, have restored the iconic Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Memorial Arch at Grand Army Plaza , as well as the surrounding plaza, and its landscaped berms.
