UK regional airline Loganair has refused to fly a rabbit living on a remote island to receive lifesaving treatment from a vet. The rabbit, named Romeo, was suffering from a life-threatening condition known as gastrointestinal stasis. Now the rabbit's owner is petitioning Loganair to change its pet travel policy as a result.

According to Romeo's owner, the ferry is usually used to reach vet appointments on the mainland. However, given the stormy conditions, island connection flights were the only option still running. Unfortunately, Loganair's policy only allows the carriage of cats and dogs, with no exceptions for these extraordinary circumstances.
