MANASSAS PARK, Va. — Police are investigating a deadly incident that left four people dead Thursday night in Manassas Park, including two young children.

According to investigators with the Manassas Park Police Department, officers responded to the 9400 block of Lanae Lane for a welfare check around 10:40 p.m. Once there, the officers entered a downstairs apartment and found two adults and two children dead inside.

First responders flooded the quiet neighborhood for hours as they tried to determine what happened.

“The police were here, we couldn’t sleep that much," Mustafa Musaferzada recalled. "We didn’t know what happened.”

Those killed were identified Friday as Santosh Pariyar, 38, Anju Shrestha, 36, and an unidentified 2-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl. All four people died from a
