Twenty days after finishing second on "American Idol," Louisiana country singer John Foster will be on another iconic stage, that of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, on Saturday.
Unlike the first time he toured the historic music venue as a visitor, this time the Addis native, 18, will be performing.
"I fought back tears because I was so overwhelmed with joy," Foster posted on Facebook in recalling his initial Opry trip. "As an amateur country music historian, there is no more significant place to my passion (country music) than the Grand Ole Opry. This has been my #1 dream ever since I started music, and now, because of your support, my dream will come true!"
