CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The man accused of killing an Over-the-Rhine business owner in his home was just released in prison in January after serving nine years for assault. Mordecia Black had cut off his ankle monitor since being released on parole and was on the run at the time of the murder.
Black was arraigned on murder and aggravated burglary charges on Friday. He's accused of stabbing Patrick Heringer to death in Heringer's East McMicken Ave. home on June 4.
A Hamilton County assistant prosecutor says there's video evidence of Black going into the home and leaving "covered in blood." The assistant prosecutor said some of Black's clothing and the knife were recovered in Heringer's home.
