A woman who led police on a high-speed chase through Horry County stole the vehicle from a Myrtle Beach area doctor’s office.
Melissa Heather Hakoun, 36, of Loris, was charged by Horry County Police with failure to stop for a blue light, driving under a suspended license, third-degree assault and battery and grand larceny.
The incident happened at 3:30 p.m. June 4, 2025, in the lobby of Mofdaps Comprehensive Behavioral Services at 1203 48th Ave. N, according to a police report.
Hakoun, who is a patient at the facility, is accused of grabbing the victim’s arm, pinning it behind his back, and then taking his car keys from his pocket.
