It’s not the easiest task to for a coach to find success in their first season after taking over a program.

Avon Mack made the challenge not seem that difficult as he led the Emmaus High School girls basketball team to 22 consecutive victories and to the Green Hornets’ first conference championship in 18 years.

“My first year as coach was an incredible dream come true,” Mack said. “The remarkable response from the ladies towards our new leadership and their openness to enhancing the culture were truly inspiring.
