A 16-year-old boy who died after he was hit by a car which appeared to mount the pavement had recently arrived in the UK from Yemen "for a better future", his family said as a second man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Al Yazidi was walking along Staniforth Road, in the Darnall area of Sheffield, on Wednesday afternoon when he was hit by an Audi car which appeared to be driving on the wrong side of the road at three electric bikes.

The car also hit one of the bikes, leaving an 18-year-old man with serious injuries, before leaving the scene. Police are continuing to question a 20-year-old man on suspicion of murder and attempted murder after he was arrested in Kent on Thursday.
