ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WITN) - Two teens have been arrested after a restaurant and vehicle were shot into yesterday in Elizabeth City.
Police have charged Derontae Norfleet with two counts of shooting into an occupied property. An underage teen was also charged in juvenile court.
One shooting happened at the Pizza Hut on West Enringhaus Street. Warrants say a manager and customers were inside at the time.
The other one happened when an SUV with a woman and her daughter was shot into on Hariot Drive.
Police learned that two suspects ran into a home on Byrd Street. They surrounded the home, and the two eventually surrendered.
No one was hit by the gunfire, according to warrants.
The 18-year-old Norfleet was jailed without bond, while the other teen was taken to the Pitt Regional Juvenil
