CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) - Massive improvements and renovations to the space that’s been a grocery store for more than 90 years.
“The first thing is that the entrance to the checkout area is opened up,” said David Dull, Grocery Outlet Construction Project Manager. “Previously there was a mezzanine across the area with a low ceiling and we we’ve taken out that ceiling, taken away that mezzanine structure, we’ve opened it up, created new LED lighting.”
Landlord Sal Russo, Jr., whose family had run a grocery store in the space for decades, told Cleveland Heights City Council about the new look for the old store since Dave’s moved out in October 2022.
“We tore out the mezzanine, separated utilities, replaced the roof, removed all of the rooftop HVAC units,” Russo told Council.
