Tornadoes can impact New Mexico at any time. But, how many tornadoes have impacted New Mexico this year?

Prior to June 5, there were five tornadoes in New Mexico. Two happened in April and three occurred in May.

On June 5, there were six reports of tornadoes as severe weather moved through parts of eastern New Mexico. The National Weather Service says all 6 were short-lived.

On average, New Mexico sees nine tornadoes each year.
