AUSTIN, Texas — A man is facing a murder charge following a shooting on Easter Sunday in Caldwell County .

According to the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office, Abizaid Jose Cabrera Hinojosa was arrested on Tuesday, June 3, in connection with the shooting.

The sheriff's office said first responders arrived to a collision in the 6000 block of Taylorsville Road, roughly 40 miles southeast of Austin, on April 20. Once on scene, deputies found three men inside a vehicle that had flipped on the roadway.

First responders attempted life-saving measures on one of the injured men, but he died on the scene. Upon further investigation, officials discovered the man also had a gunshot wound.

The two other people in the vehicle suffered minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
