A man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death in Croydon.

Cops raced to Frith Road, Croydon, at about 9.07am on Saturday (May 31), to reports of a stabbing.

There they found Marjama Osman, 26, who was pronounced dead at the scene from a single stab wound.

Simon Hinsta Ghebremedhin, 33, of Streatham High Road, was charged with murder earlier today (Friday, June 6).

Ghebremedhin was also charged with possession of a class B drug and will appear at Thames Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday, June 7).

A 32-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been bailed as enquiries continue.
