The Indiana Pacers pulled off another miraculous comeback victory during the NBA playoffs, somehow now managing it against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
This time around, now on the road in the NBA Finals, it was yet another buzzer-beater from Tyrese Haliburton. Oklahoma City had a commanding lead against Indiana during the first half of the first game of the series. But it was Indiana that emerged victorious, despite early turnover problems, in this matchup.
It is a constant theme of the postseason for the Pacers and it's causing basketball fans to lose their minds.
We already saw the reaction from John Haliburton, Tyrese's father who was briefly away from the team after his very public kerfuffle with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Fans also heard the three words that the Indiana star guard uttered following his victory. But now we can see exactly what Haliburton said to Pascal Siakam in the tunnel after the game.
Here was their interaction:
Haliburton: Hell yeah. Hell yeah. We did our job. Come on baby. Come on. Come on. Let's get greedy, man. Come on, man. We've got so much to work on.
Siakam: We didn't even play well.
Haliburton: So much to work on!
The Pacers clearly know they haven't even scratched the surface of what they are able to achieve, and yet, they still enter the series with a lead on the road.
That's great news for Indiana, even if the path toward actually taking the series remains difficult and improbable.
