“Kannon Gets the Wiggles,” a new stage production described as “powerful,” will make its world premiere June 20-22 at the Freeland Center in Bristow.

“Kannan Gets the Wiggles” was adapted from the children’s book “Sometimes I Get the Wiggles” by Andee Cooper.

Inspired by the true story of a young boy with epilepsy, the play aims to raise awareness and understanding of the condition through an engaging, family-friendly story.

The play follows Kannon, a spirited second grader who loves his mom, his dog Murphy and comic book superheroes. When he experiences a seizure at his new school, he is diagnosed with epilepsy.

Kannon soon discovers his inner strength, transforming into “Super Kannon” and inspiring others to become epilepsy heroes, too.
