COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Cookeville Police Department has announced the arrest of a man in connection with an investigation into the continuous sexual abuse of minors.

CPD reports that on June 4, Erich Lee Begley was arrested on several charges, including continuous sexual abuse of a minor, sexual battery by an authority figure, aggravated sexual battery and more. He’s currently being held on a $500,000 bond.

Police said that the charges stem from a multi-agency investigation involving allegations pertaining to several minor victims. Minors from two different families came forward to report incidents involving Begley between May and July 2024.
