SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Summer is upon us, and the warmer weather is beckoning us outside.
All are invited to attend the free celebration of the restored fountain and early summer blooms sprouting in the gardens of Franklin Square Park on Sunday, June 8, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The public space, located at 101 Solar St.
Live music will kick off the day, with harpist Amy Hueber from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by the Harmonic Dirt band from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Other activities planned for the day include games, face painting, clay flower pot painting, plant swapping between attendees who bring rooted cuttings of blooms from home, as well as informational tabling by local organizations and snacks and refreshments.
You are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs, though s
