CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Saying "I do" is getting more expensive. While weddings have always come with a hefty price tag, experts say rising tariffs and ongoing supply chain issues are pushing those costs even higher, especially for couples planning celebrations this year.
Kristen Zywicki, owner of Crafted Charm Wedding Planning in Charlotte, says one of the biggest sticker shocks right now is in florals.
Imported flowers are more expensive to ship, and those extra costs are being passed along to clients. Zywicki says that often leads to tough conversations between planners and couples.
“The wholesale floral market is being pretty transparent about it,” she said. “But you’re definitely seeing an increase in prices across the board.”
