TEMPE, Ariz. — The City of Tempe has installed traffic enforcement cameras at 14 intersections, which will start snapping pictures of speeders and red-light runners.

The city has recently announced that traffic cameras have been set up at several high-risk intersections throughout Tempe, in an effort to change driving behavior in the East Valley community.

Intersections were selected based on crash data collected over the last few years.

Images captured by the cameras are sent to the Tempe Police Department. The city said every violation is reviewed by the department and citations are issued to those who the police can identify as the driver of the violating vehicle.
