Priceville police arrested a man on drug charges and are searching for a wanted woman after a chase involving multiple agencies.

About 11:50 p.m. Thursday, an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Point Mallard Parkway.

As the officer approached the vehicle, which was occupied by a male driver and female passenger, police say the driver fled and initiated a chase that proceeded southbound on Interstate 65.

In response to the escalating situation, police requested assistance from neighboring law enforcement agencies as the chase continued toward Falkville.

Police say the suspect's vehicle exited Interstate 65 and entered the town of Falkville, nearly colliding with two patrol vehicles belonging to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office.
