John Edward Tabb Sr. (Vincent Funeral Home)

John Edward Tabb Sr. “Buster” was born September 12, 1943, was called home to be with the Lord on May 28, 2025, at his daughter Bernice home in Charles City, Va.

He was preceded in death by his parents Zack E. Tabb Jr. and Edna Jones Tabb, his wife Iris Johnson Tabb, son Joseph Tabb (Kathleen), son John Edward Tabb Jr. (Magdeline), brother Zack E. Tabb III, brother Thomas B. Tabb, grandson Bradford Thompson Sr.

He joined Little Elam Baptist Church in 1955. He attended Woodburn Elementary and graduated from Ruthville High School in 1961. He began his work career at Newport News Shipbuilding as a pipefitter. He went on to become a brakeman and engineer for C&O railroad where he retired after many years of service. You would see him coming throug
