DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Testimony is back on Friday in the murder retrial of Karen Read following a day off.

Friday, defense witness Daniel Wolfe took the stand.

Wolfe is the director of accident reconstruction at ARCCA, a company that conducts accident reconstruction work for organizations like the military.

Defense attorney Alan Jackson led the questioning Friday morning, focusing on Wolfe’s qualifications.

They also discussed damage to Read’s SUV tail light.

Wolfe said there was glass found on the bumper, but no glass broken in Read’s tail light or Read’s windows.

The defense asked Wolfe if a drinking glass could have caused the SUV damage.

Wolfe said the glass would need to be traveling at 37 miles per hour to create that kind of damage.
