BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) - On Sunday, Bettendorf’s new water park welcomed more than 1,000 people.
The Landing recently opened for weekends only but will be open seven days week for the summer on Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m.
Keeping a max capacity of 1,200 per night is their goal.
But how can you stay safe while at the waters?
The Landing’s aquatic director, Garret Sims, provides some helpful tips.

If your child is younger than 8, guardians should always have them an arm’s length away.
Never swim alone.
Use the buddy system and swim with a friend.
Wear bright-colored swim attire, so it’s easier to see swimmers under the water.
