CALAMUS, Iowa (KWQC) - After a horrific snowmobile accident in February, Calamus-Wheatland freshman Carter Henning had to have his left leg amputated.
It hasn’t stopped Henning from doing what he loves. Less than two months after the amputation, Henning returned to golf with the Calamus-Wheatland varsity as the team’s number one golfer.
This July, Henning will play in the Pro-Am at the John Deere Classic. Henning will get to play at TPC Deere Run with some of the best golfers in the world. The opportunity was made possible thanks to Lexus of the Quad Cities giving Carter one of their sponsorship spots to play.
