CANTON, Ohio — It was a long night for the Perrysburg High School baseball team Thursday, after a delayed start to the regional final was only a sign of things to come in Canton.

The Yellow Jackets were scheduled to start their Division-I regional final matchup against Medina at 5 p.m., but due to weather, the game was pushed back to 8:45 p.m.

After an hour into the game and a 2-2 score in the bottom of the third inning, the game was called and moved to Friday, leaving coaches and parents who made the 160-mile trek to Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium frustrated.

"It's frustrating when you have the 2.5-hour drive," Hall said. "We'll show up and play whenever they tell us, but it's one of those where it would've been easy to just say we're coming [Friday]."
