A flood watch in effect through Saturday afternoon affects several counties in northeast Oklahoma following multiple rounds of storms this week.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa issued the flood watch early Friday for Adair, Cherokee, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Nowata, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Rogers, Sequoyah, Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington counties.

The Tulsa area saw 1.5-2.5 inches of rain Thursday-Friday, according to Oklahoma Mesonet, with more overnight storms in the weekend forecast likely to bring the rainfall total to 4-6 inches in some areas. Some storms may be severe, with the risk of damaging winds and hail.
