A 62-year-old man was arraigned Thursday on two charges related to a crash on the New Bedford-Fairhaven bridge in February that killed a 28-year-old man, the Bristol County district attorney’s office announced Friday.

Robert Campbell was arraigned on one charge of OUI manslaughter and one charge of OUI second offense, according to a press release from the office.

The state claims that on Feb. 20, Campbell had been drinking at the Bitter End bar in Fairhaven and that he traveled over the New Bedford-Fairhaven bridge in his vehicle after he left the bar, the press release reads.

As he was on the bridge, the 62-year-old man crossed over the center double yellow line and crossed into the other lane, striking another vehicle in a head-on collision.
