OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - OPPD is looking for the public’s guidance in a vote to name a new peregrine falcon chick.
A release sent Friday says that Lewis and Clark, OPPD’s resident peregrine falcons, have a new chick.
Since 2015, Lewis and Clark have been settled in OPPD’s North Omaha station, and have had nine survive chicks in that time. Their names being Storm, Flickr, Flash, Volta, Watt, Ohm, Ampere, Thunder and Lightning.
This newest chick, the first that has been successfully raised by the pair since 2022, has been described as “feisty” and “vocal” by observers.
