FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) — A man is facing multiple drug charges after throwing a sock filled with drugs out of a window during a traffic stop on Friday.

Florence Police told News 19 that Mark Whipple was a passenger inside a vehicle that was pulled over for driving without any headlights on around 1 a.m.

During the stop, officers saw Whipple throw something out of the vehicle’s window. Florence Police then detained him and found what he tossed out, which was a sock full of methamphetamine.

Florence Police said that Whipple was arrested and charged with Drug Trafficking, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

Police said that Whipple slew of other warrants pending once he bonds on the current charges.

He is currently being held on a $51,000 bond
