PONTIAC, Mich. — The Oakland County Sheriff's Office has one person in custody after thwarting an alleged planned mass shooting at a high school graduation in Pontiac, Michigan. Law enforcement is searching for another suspect in the alleged planned shooting.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said the incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, at United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) in Pontiac. The business was allowing the Arts & Technology Academy of Pontiac (ATAP) to host their graduation on their property.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the property for a fight that broke out, but after arriving and speaking with UWM security staff, the deputies learned that there was more to the story.
