SANDPOINT — A Bonners Ferry resident charged with vandalizing a Dover business was granted a hearing continuance due to a new case that was filed against her Wednesday.
As part of the first case against her, Karla Deanne Warkentin, 29, is charged with two felony counts of malicious injury to property. A second case, which charges Warkentin with another two felony counts of malicious injury to property, alleges she vandalized five additional businesses in separate incidents.
Due to the second case being filed, Warkentin’s attorney was granted a continuance on the first case, in an effort to allow the second case to move through the court system so that the two cases could eventually be combined. She is expected to appear back in court June 16.
