CHIMNEY ROCK, N.C. — After nine long months of recovery, Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park is set to reopen to the public on Friday, June 27—a major milestone following the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene.

The park, a beloved destination in western North Carolina, was forced to close in September after the hurricane caused significant damage to trails, roads, and infrastructure. Since then, a dedicated team has worked around the clock to restore access and ensure a safe return for visitors.
