EKY organization collecting donations for tornado survivors

KNOTT CO., Ky. (WYMT) - Roscoe’s Daughter is hosting a community outreach event at the Knott County Sportsplex on Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

They will be collecting items for victims of the May 16th tornado. In a Facebook post, Roscoe’s Daughter said gift cards and kids’ toys are among the most needed items.

At the event, there will also be free food, games, a cake walk, plus a station to write messages of hope for tornado survivors in London.

The organization said they are working with local leaders for the relief efforts and plan to deliver the items next week.
