DALLAS COWBOYS legend Tom Rafferty has died at the age of 70.
The America's Team icon won a Super Bowl back in 1978.
It came after a 27-10 win over the Denver Broncos .
His death in Windsor, Colorado, was announced on Thursday.
It is understood he had suffered a stroke.
The news of his death was reported by Kevin Sherrington of the Dallas Morning News .
He was an offensive lineman during his playing career.
Rafferty’s daughter, Rachel Powers, was with him during his final days.
She revealed he had been hospitalized since early May.
Rafferty was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round in 1976.
Just two years later he won a historic Super Bowl with the team.
