Sheriff: 21-year-old motorcyclist killed in high

SALEM, Ore. (KPTV) - A 21-year-old man was killed in a crash in Salem Thursday night, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Just before 10 p.m., emergency crews responded to a serious crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on Lancaster Drive Southeast at Glenwood Drive Southeast.

The sheriff’s office says the motorcyclist, Jesse Wadley of Salem, was taken to Salem Hospital but later died from his injuries. A passenger in the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital but the extent of their injuries is not known.

The driver of the other vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation showed Wadley was traveling a high speed before the crash.

No other details have been released at this time.
