BLOOMINGTON – From open-air concerts to afternoon swims and fresh-picked produce, Bloomington Parks and Recreation has packed the June calendar with community events and summer staples for all ages.
City officials are encouraging residents to “get out and about” this month with a variety of programs designed to celebrate summer.
The Performing Arts Series, presented by Visit Bloomington, offers free live music throughout the city’s parks. Concerts will be held at The Waldron, Hill and Buskirk, Switchyard, Bryan, and Peoples Parks. A new offering, Tuesday Tunes, will bring weekly performances to Hopewell Commons, expanding the reach of the concert series.
