CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A legend on the campus of Xavier University has passed away.

Father Albert Bischoff died Friday at the age of 98.

The university posted a tribute to him.

“Every student who has walked the grounds of Xavier’s campus since 1998 knew the man affectionately known as 'Father B,” who returned their affection by calling each of them saint.”

Local12 did a story on his 90th birthday.

Father B was a Cincinnati native, who graduated from Xavier in 1949.

He'd go on to serve the Jesuit university in multiple roles for more than 70 years.

Father B would often preside over 4 p.m. mass at Bellarmine Chapel.
