BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. — One person was sent to the hospital following an overnight road rage shooting in the Bertrand Township area, the Berrien County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities said just after 3:30 a.m. Friday, law enforcement was called to JD's Truck Stop to check out a victim with a gunshot wound.
Investigators learned the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident that happened nearby.
The sheriff's office said the two involved vehicles were headed on US-12 in the Bertrand Township area.
Several law enforcement agencies helped out, and the BCSO evidence tech team processed the scene.
The case is still under investigation.
