(QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A Hamlet woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Dobbins Heights, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Janaydia Nyshamique Tender, 26, is charged with murder after Eddie “Tank” Brooks Thomas Jr. was shot and killed on June 4 at a home along Rose Street.

Tender is being held in jail without bond. Sheriff Gulledge said investigators worked tirelessly on the case, which remains ongoing.

The investigation is being assisted by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Rockingham Police K-9 Unit. More arrests may follow, deputies said.
